DJ Jazzy Jeff Philadelphia, Pennsylvania placeholder Jeffrey Allen Townes (born January 22, 1965), also known as DJ Jazzy Jeff or simply Jazz, is an American hip hop and R&B disc jockey, record producer, turntablist and actor who is best known for his early career with Will Smith as DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. With M3, DJ Jazzy Jeff celebrates unhindered creativity. He enlists world-class musicians from his PLAYLIST artist network, Daniel Crawford, Kaidi Tatham, and Philadelphia collective Killiam Shakespeare, to set the tone from this highly anticipated project. Critical reception[edit]
At Metacritic, which assigns a weighted average score out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, The Magnificent received an average score of 75% based on 11 reviews, indicating 'generally favorable reviews'.[3]
In 2004, Philadelphia Weekly placed it at number 25 on the '100 Best Philly Albums of All Time' list.[9]
