You are creating a new project and receive following error in the Project Details window:
There was a connection protocol error.
Please check that you have entered the correct port number and other settings.
Error details:
One or more error occurred.
An error occurred while sending the request.
The remote server returned and error: (401) Unauthorized.
The target principal name is incorrect.

Solution: Set SPN

Refer to following KB article for a resolution: How do I configure the Windows Authentication for SDL Trados GroupShare 2017 (or higher)

Workaround: Use option Authenticate with a different user

Go to File > Setup > Servers
Select your server
Click Edit
Tick the option Authenticate with a different user
Enter your full user name and password
Click OK
Restart SDL Trados Studio

Workaround (MT Server only): Add a second GroupShare server

Go to File > Setup > Servers
Click Add
Enter any random values as Server Address and any details under Authentication fields (Server Address preferably should start with the letter 'z' so that the server appears after your current server alphabetically)
Click OK and wait until connection fails

Workaround (MT Server only): Ignore error

When the error message appears:

Click OK in the error
Tick option Publish project on Trados GroupShare
Untick option Publish project on Trados GroupShare
Click Next

You are using Windows Authentication - but during the installation of GroupShare 2017, the SPN has not been set as described in the installation guide.
